Affordable Homeownership on Shedwick St

Mt. Vernon Manor is thrilled to be launching our first-ever affordable homeownership project. We are developing 4 single-family homes on North Shedwick Street that will be sold to households between 60-80% AMI in early 2026. All of these homes will be 2-bedrooms, and they will be sold at below-market prices. We are especially interested in supporting first-time homebuyers in this process.

These homes are designed to preserve Mantua’s neighborhood character while offering modern amenities. More importantly, they are designed to be permanently affordable—while still allowing lower-income families to build wealth for themselves. This is made possible through the shared-equity model under a community land trust program. Below are the provisional income limits based on household size, aka 80% of Area Median Income as of 2025 (please note that these are maximum income levels, not minimums):

1 person: $66,850

2 people: $76,400

3 people: $85,950

4 people: $95,500

5 people: $103,150
