Rental, Utility, and Property Tax Assistance

The City’s Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) organizations are committed to keeping Philadelphians in their homes– warm, safe, and dry. To that end, Mt. Vernon Manor NAC provides assistance with foreclosure prevention, rental rebate applications; referrals for rental aid programs; utility and weatherization funds; street defect requests, home repair and modification programs; Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Crisis and Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) applications; and property tax payment plans. In general, if you feel you are at risk of losing your rented or owned housing, do not hesitate to get in touch– we’d love to help you.

Please note that we currently have funds specifically for West Philadelphia Promise Zone residents to assist with overdue rent, utilities, or property taxes. This financial aid is available on a first-come, first-served basis through May of 2023.

Please call our office at 215-475-9492 for up-to-date information about our services and to make an appointment. We can accommodate walk-in appointments, but it is best to give us a call. You’ll need to gather proof of income from the past 30 days, a current ID card, social security numbers for everyone in the household, and as many utility bills as you can to move forward with this assistance.
